zaterdag 18 oktober 2014 organiseert de Heavy Metal Maniacs fanclub
voor de 15e keer het Heavy Metal Maniacs festival. Het Heavy Metal
Maniacs festival wordt gehouden in P60 in het hartje van Amstelveen.
Deze locatie is uitstekend te bereiken via het openbaar vervoer vanuit
o.a. Amsterdam CS. Ook in de nacht!

of bij een Primera winkel in de buurt. Kaarten in de voorverkoop kosten

The 15th Heavy Metal Maniacs festival is at Saturday the 18th
of October 2014 and is held at the venue P60 in the centre of
Amstelveen, which is between Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The public
transport is excellent, also during the Night and you can easily reach
P60 from Amsterdam Central Station.

De headliner is dit jaar Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper dat
een exclusieve Nederlandse show geeft. Met nummers als “See you in
Hell” en “Rock you to Hell” zijn ze de epische symbolen van de Heavy
Metal uit de jaren 80! Het NWOBHM geweld laat zich gelden in
schreeuwende gitaren, donderende drums en zuivere vocale uithalen. SG
Grim Reaper is in een nieuwe samenstelling bij elkaar gebracht om o.a.
een wereld tour in Zuid en Noord Amerika te maken en natuurlijk om te
kunnen schitteren op het Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival!
This year’s festival will be spearheaded by Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper.
With songs like “See you in Hell” and “Rock you to Hell” they are the
epic symbol of 80′s Heavy Metal! These guys mean serious business:
screaming guitars, high pitched vocals and pounding drums. With a
reformed band, SG Grim Reaper is now on a world tour with dates in South
and North America, but only does one stop on the old continent…. at the Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival!
Sad Iron
is terug in de strijd en zal de metalfan op het Heavy Metal Maniacs
festival wederom op een hevig stuk metaal trakteren! Sad Iron, in 1980
in Hoorn opgericht, had zijn reünie 2012 op het podium van het Heavy
Metal Maniacs festival. En dat doet Sad Iron dit jaar nog eens dunnetjes
over!
Sad Iron
is back and will play at the Heavy Metal Maniacs festival again! Rooted
deep in the 1980′s, Sad Iron was founded in Hoorn and reunited in 2012
at the Heavy Metal Maniacs festival. The fans couldn’t get enough, so
this year their back!
Phil Denton en Paul Taylor van de legendarische jaren ’80 band Elixir hebben een nieuwe band: Midnight Messiah.
Genoemd naar één van de laatste Elixir nummers, gaat Midnight Messiah
verder waar Elixir gestopt is, met als handelswaar strakke riffs, een
melodieuze zanglijn en pakkende gitaarsolo’s!
When Phil Denton and Paul Taylor of Elixir decided to start again, they called their band Midnight Messiah
after one of the last songs they wrote for Elixir, Midnight Messiah is
based on the same principals as Elixir: and that means strong riffs,
melodic voices and screaming solo’s!
Vorig jaar werd de NWOBHM legende Dealer gedwongen
om hun show bij ons te cancellen door de tragische en onverwachte dood
van bassist Pete Gentil. Dealer kon geen betere manier vinden om Pete te
herdenken door op het Heavy Metal Maniacs festival te spelen met een
complete setlist van Dealer klassiekers!
Last year NWOBHM legends Dealer were
forced to cancel the show because of the tragic death of long time bass
player Pete Gentil. Dealer could think of no better way of honoring his
memory and will play a full set of classics in his name.
Met een mix van blues en Heavy Metal heeft Diggeth uit het Oosten van Nederland,
zijn eigen unieke geluid. De rest van het land werd veroverd terwijl
Diggeth het podium deelde met o.a. Michael Schenker, Exodus en Sacred
Reich.

is meant to be fun. Coming from the east of Holland, they quickly
expand their music across the country, sharing the stage with Michael
Schenker, Exodus and Sacred Reich, just to name a few.
Venator
zal het feestje van het Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival 2014 beginnen. Met
oud leden van Funeral Winds, Roadkill, Android Soul en Solarfall, heeft
Venator een band neergezet die in het Nederlandse metal landschap staat
als een huis!
Venator
is the first band to start the madness of the Heavy Metal Maniacs
Festival 2014. Founded a few years ago by members of Funeral Winds,
Roadkill, Android Soul and Solarfall, Venator quickly became a household
name in the Dutch Heavy Metal scene.
Over de Heavy Metal Maniacs
De
stichting Heavy Metal Maniacs is opgericht in 1997 om de traditionele
Heavy Metal in Nederland levend te houden. Als fans van dit genre
organiseren zij al jaren het Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival, de
Meesterlijk Metaal avonden in Almere en diverse kleine concerten en
festivals. Daarnaast onderhouden ze een internetradiostation met een
wekelijkse liveshow, vol echte Heavy Metal. De club is ondertussen
internationaal actief en heeft leden in Nederland, België, Zweden,
Duitsland, Spanje, Canada, Argentinië en Italië. Als stichting hebben de
Heavy Metal Maniacs geen winstoogmerk.
